The Food and Drug Administration has approved the first GLP-1 pill for weight loss and maintenance.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the pill form of Wegovy, the weight-loss medication manufactured by Novo Nordisk

“We now have injectable-like efficacy in a once-daily pill,” David Moore, executive vice president of Wegovy maker Novo Nordisk’s U.S. operations, told The Wall Street Journal.
